    Hi sen A,

The FTMO app robots trade 1 to 2 times per week. You can view this in the app by looking at each robot and looking at the Count of Trades in their stats. For example if you select Y1 and a robot show 52 trades being taken that means that particular robot is placing 1 trade per week on average. So, just give it more time to see trades being taken.

    Hi gabiscriba and Joseph,

FTMO is no longer allowing United States traders to use MT4/Mt5 and is migrating their accounts to DXtrade a web based trading platform. This only applies to US traders. Also Expert Advisors will not work with DXtrade.

    Hi Gypsy,

Look in MT4/MT5 View tab or Cntrl+R.

    Hi Gypsy,

You need to give the Expert Advisor more time to place a trade.

    Hi Patrick,

Yes you can use the FTMO robots as they do not trade under any of the conditions you noted above.

    Hi Perry,

The top 1 to 3 robots would be added to the MT4/MT5 terminal and would then continue to trade for 2 weeks or longer. Once the new demo account has determined new top 1 to top 3 robots then they would replace the old ones.

Having said this I can no longer use the FREE FTMO demo account nor can I purchase new Challenges as FTMO no longer offers them to traders in the United States. As a result I am now using Infinity Forex Funds Algo Evaluation account as IFF does not offer a demo account. So I use the Algo account to test my robots with a 0.01 lot size which is not limited to 14 days but the time frame is unlimited. Other than that I still use the plan above.

You have the same option. If you don’t want to be limited by the 14 day demo account you can purchase a 10K Challenge and use it as your test account.

    Hi Patrick,

What I said was it doesn’t matter if the account is in EUROs or USD. If you need any help adjusting your robots parameters let me know.

Do you want to set a price target where the robot will stop working?
Do you want to set a specific account risk you where you will want the robot to stop working?

Let me know if I can help!

Happy to hear you got it working!

    Hi Traders,

I know there has been a lot of dissatisfaction with the FTMO app robots lately so I wanted to chime in here. At the beginning of this week I downloaded all 14 robots and installed them in my Infinity Forex Fund Algo Evaluation MT4 terminal. Sorry, I cannot use the FTMO Challenges anymore as in the United States FTMO no longer allows us to use MT4 or MT5. However, before this limitation was imposed upon us US traders I had installed the same FTMO robots on both the FTMO challenge and the IFF Algo Evaluation to compare their performance. The result was they very closely track each other. So based upon this past experiment I feel traders using the FTMO Free demo or Challenges should be able to achieve similar results to what I am getting. I also realize that these 14 robots have only been trading on my account for 2 days and my results are early I wanted to share what I am getting so far. When I installed all 14 robots I changed the lot size on each robot to 0.01 lots so their results would not affect my account balance significantly. Right now I have 3 closed trades. One profitable and two losing. However each of these closed trades where with one closed trade for each of the three robots. I will now continue to trade these 14 robots for the balance of the week and report my results this coming weekend and how I am going to address my trading for next week.

The following link will outline how I trade all my robots. The link was written based upon the FTMO robots v5.1 but the steps I follow is still the same for all robots.

    Hi Patrick,

This happens when the FTMO robots downloaded do not match up with the account balance. For example: If you have an account balance of $10,000 then with the FTMO app you need to select the account size before you download the EAs. You also need to select the correct Max Loss, Max Daily Loss, and the Profit target.

    Hi Gilles,

You can select the Y1 or Y5 on the FTMO app to view all the robots. Then you can look at the right edge of the charts to see which robots are being profitable and which ones are being losers.

    Hi Angelo,

The way EA Studio works is the robot it will take the 5ers historical data and generate buy and sell orders and then at the end of the historical data EA Studio closes all trades and generates a balance line.

The way the 5ers Metatrader works is it will request the historical data from the brokers server the 5ers uses. In fetching this data from the broker there is a delay for the broker to receive the request, then the server has to send the data back to the 5ers Metatrader terminal with another delay. Once the metatrader receives the data from the brokers server it can apply it to the Expert Advisor. The Expert Advisor will then create a buy or sell signal and then send the data back to the brokers server with again another delay. Then once the 5ers broker receives the command to buy or sell it will act on that command. Although this happens quickly my point is there is a delay involved with the live transaction whereas with EA Studio there is no delay. The result is there will be a difference in the simulation done by EA Studio and the live account.

I do not try to make such an exact comparison between EA Studio and my live account. I use EA Studio to create the Expert Advisors. I then run the EAs on my brokers live account with 0.01 lots. I then determine which EAs are being profitable in the current market conditions. I will then increase the lot size on the profitable EA or EAs.

I do not believe there is any errors in EA Studio as the developer has refined it over the years. However, if you feel you need to report your results to the developer then I suggest reaching out to [email protected] .

    Hi Patrick,

The same setfiles will work for both USD and the EURO. However, with the new FTMO app you do not get a setfile as the downloaded robots will have the correct settings.

    Hi Julian,

I have posted in the past how I recommend trading the FTMO robots. The link below refers to FTMO robots v5.1 but the same process applies to the updated robots>

    Hi David,

Sorry, I am not sure what original post you are referring too. Anyway, being in the United States I can no longer trade the FTMO robots on the FTMO challenge as it is not allowed by FTMO. What I can tell you is when I was trading the FTMO robots on an FTMO challenge they were not modified!
