    Hi Oly,

The Forex Profit Supreme Meter indicator is only available in the MT4 format. To use this indicator you would need to open a demo account with MT4 and this use this information for your MT5 trading account.

    Hi Issac,

The answer to the problem in in the comments at the top left corner of the chart. It says “Maximum equity protection activated”. This occurs when the EA has hit its price target to pass the challenge and it stops trading. To allow the Expert Advisor to continue to trade there are two things you can do. 1. In the Expert Advisors properties box you can scroll down to where it says “Maximum Equity (currency)” and set the value to a higher level. This will allow the Expert Advisor to continue trading up to the higher level where it will stop trading again, or 2. Set the “Maximum Equity (currency)” value to zero which will disable this function which will allow the Expert Advisor to continue trading without disruption.

    Hi Ben,

I am happy to hear you are enjoying the 21 day course and having great success using EA Studio. To get rid of the 30 day limitation of EA Studio you can purchase a copy of EA Studio from the following image:

You should use the timeframe the Expert Advisor was designed for!

    Hi Daniel,

The developer of EA Studio says the EAs you create with EA Studio are yours and you have the rights to sell them. The copyright you see is just for the software and not the EAs you create using EA Studio.

    Hi Boyan,

As to which EA to use to pass the challenge depends upon the current market environment. You can go to your EAtradingacademy account and select the FTMO app tab and their you can see which EAs are performing the best in the current market environment.

As to Infinity Forex Funds I would not recommend using them as you may not get any payouts. I recently bought an Algo Evaluation from them when they were running a 50% discount. I forgot to add the discount code and was charged the full amount. They refused to offer me the 50% discount and would not refund the difference even though I had not yet started to trade the account. I am skeptical of them!

    Hi Daryn,

As to the difference with historical data between accounts, I have noticed a large difference in using the same EA on my Oanda demo account and my Oanda live account. So, even with the same brokerage it is possible to see significant differences between accounts. Of course this difference may be smaller or larger with different brokerages. So while you are seeing small differences between different accounts with the same brokerage this is not always going to be the same with different brokerages.

I do not optimize strategies. I do use Monte Carlo robustness.

As to saving symbol specifications from multiple brokers on the premium dataset: After customizing the premium data for a specific brokers specifications download the settings in the Tools>Settings tab for each broker. This will however, also download all the settings you have made in EA Studio. So when you upload the broker settings back into EA Studio be aware it will also change all the settings in EA studio. This won’t be a problem if you are going to use all the same settings except for the custom premium data settings. If you are going to use different strategy settings for each broker then you will also need to download the settings saved as different strategies. I hope this makes sense.

    Hi Daryn,

You are doing good work on your analysis to figure out the best workflow that works for you. I have been through a similar effort in determining my workflow. We all need to determine our own workflows as what works for me may not work for you. So, keep up the good work.

Note: I also use the premium data to generate my strategies. I then use my broker account with as much historical data possible to further evaluate the strategies just like you are doing.

My one recommendation would be to do your workflow on just one account. The problem with using several accounts is they all use different servers so the historical data will be somewhat different between all these servers and can influence your workflow analysis results which can cause confusion. Once you have determined your workflow download the historical data from a different demo account and see how it work with that different account.

Note: I generate strategies for each of my trading accounts by using the historical data from each account.

    Hi Hemmy,

The Expert Advisors will not work with DXtrade. What you will need to do is to find a forex broker that uses MT4/Mt5, open a demo account and put your EAs there. Then you will need to use a copy trader to copy the trades from the forex broker to FTMO or other prop firms. The only copy trader I know of you can use is TradersConnect. com. However, the app to copy trade from a forex broker to DXtrade is not available at this time but should be available within the next few weeks. What I did with my 5 FTMO challenges was to request a refund which they did honor. So now I am not going to use any new prop firms until all this stuff settles down.

Can you let me know if you are in the United States? I am trying to figure out if this migration only applies to US traders. Thanks!

    Hi Sammy,

As far as I know this is only affecting US traders as FTMO said it only affects the US. Are you seeing this issue starting to occur in the UK?

    Hi Sammy,

FTMO is no longer allowing traders in the United States to use MT4 or MT5 and have migrated current US traders accounts to DXtrade. I had 5 ongoing Challenges. I asked for a refund and received full refund for all five of my challenges.

Also, TradersConnect is working on an app to allow copy trading from MT4 or MT5 to DXtrader and should be available in a few weeks.

    Hi Pjilippe,

From what I understand this is an issue can occur when your broker cannot place trades, an invalid symbol, or an account not set up properly. So, did you log into your MT4/MT5 with the master password and not the investor password? Also, some brokers have two forms of chart names, for example, where the chart tab shows on of these two names EURUSD or EURUSD.i (or some other name with a dot suffix). If your broker uses these two forms of chart names contact your broker to make sure which form you are to use. The first thing I would suggest is to close your terminal and log back in with the master password and make sure you are using the correct chart name. Then try to place a small trade manually when you know the market is open.

Let me know how it goes!
