    Andi,

I would say that the stock market has returned to “normal”. My strategies have performed similarly to the period before the panic peak caused by the epidemic. But everyone fears that at any moment there could be further high falls.

I am currently working in homeoffice so I have a lot of time available to operate with Petiko’s methodology (I remember that when I started it also took me many hours. About 4 hours/day).

I am restarting my robot portfolio at the moment (strategy generation, test account and selection). I always had some doubts that I believe that for being a consistent trader for a long time you can solve). Your successful experience is very valuable!

Could you please answer the following questions that are fundamental for me?

1- Is it worthwhile to use strategies generated only with the option “Stop Loss = Always use”? (I feel very uncomfortable with strategies generated with the option “Stop Loss = May use” or “Stop Loss = Do not  use” because they could spend long periodos in negative)

2- Would you say that diversification into different currency pairs is important? Or is it more relevant to diversify into different types of strategies? (When I operated I diversified a lot into different currency pairs and ended up including a lot of bad robots in the real account. I belive I ocurred in a over diversification!).

    Hello Andi,

thank you very much for the answer!

I’m glad you’re making a profit for such a long period! This sounds like strong evidence of the good quality of Petko’s method.

I have been operating in the stock market for approximately 2 years  with good results. But in periods of great falls, as in the past months, I was very idle. So, I decided to diversify with currency operations again.

Yes, I use variations with stop loss and trailing stop. In my experience is the way to generate eas that I managed to be most profitable.

    Hello Petko!

I noticed that currently you have always used stop loss in your courses (both in EAS and FSB). What are your main motivations for currently always using fixed stop loss or trailing stop?

    Thanks

    Wow Andi!

Congratulations on the results! Very good!

I would like to know if after generating the eas they were put straight into the live account or have gone through a trial period on the demo account.

Did you use any EAS settings other than what Petiko usually teaches in courses? What time frame have you used?

Could you also tell which  broker you used?

I have some sugestions for FBS:

1- I would like to create in FBS strategies that use the relative movement of two currency pairs or more (pair trading).

2- I would like to create in FBS strategies whose entries and exities are performed based on a sequence of logical conditions that succeed each other over time. For example, if the indicator I1 == i1 at a given time t1 and subsequently at a unknown time t2 the indicator I2 == i2, then go long.  Classic strategies have this structure, but neither in FBS nor EAS can create this kind of model.

I would like to build strategies that use two symbols at the same time exploring the relative movement. This strategies are known as pair trading and has the property of been market neutral.

    Hi Andi,

I’m using single experts. I’m trading just on EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY and ERUJPY.

    Thank you!

    Hi, Petko,

Thanks for the answer! I suspected that was the reason. To check I’m building a new portfolio using trailing stop on all ea’s.

    Hi Petko,

Many thanks for the previous response!

I understand your concern about the possibility of people understanding long-term results as possible “promises”, and I also fully understand that such results do not follow “guarantees” for future gain (I’m a statistician and therefore I’m addicted to validations procedures kkkk).

However, because it is another data that can corroborate the effectiveness of the method I would like to implement it.

Given your expertise with EA STUDIO and FSB, would you have any idea to practice this procedure (even manually)? I have tried it but it is very difficult to program the various updates of the portfolios.

Have you ever thought about a comfortable way to do this experiment even using mql or another programming language or manually?

    Hey,

I refer, for instance, to the methodology used in the course Automated Forex trading + 99 Expert Advisors every month (Udemy).
I would like to know more specifically what is expected if I repeat that procedure for a long period (always selecting new EAS for the real account among the 99 ones).

From the results you presented in your courses it seems that we will have a profitable strategy in the long run. But I would like to know if such an experiment has already been carried out.

    Thanks a lot!
