The decision on your trading volume during the FTMO Challenge is entirely yours. You can specify your account size and risk tolerance, and the Prop Firm Robots app will compute the suitable lot sizes for you.

Opting for a Medium risk level ensures that the trading volume corresponds accordingly. This means that if the price hits the stop loss on your position, you won’t lose more than 1% of your account balance.

In this challenge, Petko used all of the FTMO robots trading simultaneously with 1% (normal) risk per trade. Once the account reached 5% profit, I doubled the entry lot (keeping it at 5% max Daily Loss).

How do we determine which asset to trade?

– Upon opening the Prop Firm Robots App, you’ll observe the performance of all FTMO Robots.
– Choose the period (typically the last week).
– These results mirror what you would have experienced if you were trading these EAs on an FTMO Trial account.

You DON’T need to test the FTMO Robots on Trial/Demo

How to use the FTMO Robot to pass challenges

The FTMO Robots trade on seven different currency pairs and on Gold, but you should not trade all of them together on a challenge!

First, you can test them all in a trial/demo account and follow the results. The purpose is to find the most profitable among the seven assets in current market conditions.

You can connect your account with MyFxBook or FXBlue and track the performance of all 14. This way, you will always trade the FTMO Robot that performs best in the current market!

The best option is to use the FTMO Robot App and you will know which one is Currently profiting the most! Then, trade it on a challenge!

When you know which asset is currently profitable, it gets easy!

Once you select which is your FTMO Robot and you have a challenge:
– Place it on MetaTrader and monitor the performance
– Keep trading the top 2-3 performers in the challenge. This way you will diversify on different markets
– the Prop Firm Robots use the same strategy on all assets! So by testing it on 7 different pairs and Gold, we will help you find the most suitable market for that FTMO Robot.

What is the strategy behind the FTMO Robot in the Prop Firm Robot app?

When will the Robot open a long trade?
– When the price moves below the lower band of the Envelopes and moves back inside
– There should also be a confirmation from DeMarker, MACD and RSI.
– Between specified market hours. Usually we avoid opening new trades around midnight when the spreads are at their highest.
– exit condition with Average True Range indicator.

Can I use Robots on FTMO?

Yes, FTMO allows algorithmic trading like most of the Prop Firms. As long as the Prop Firm offers MetaTrader with algo trading, you can use the FTMO Robot. With FTMO we use swing accounts so we can keep trading during the news.

Can I use FTMO Robot on other Prop Firms?

The FTMO Robots desplayed on this page has no limitations to platforms. It can be used on any MetaTrader account (even a regular CFD Broker).

I installed the Prop Firm Robots but do not see any trades opening?

The Prop Firm Robots will open trades when the price meets all trading signals. The EA is not designed to trade frequently but to take strong reversal signals.

If you do not see trades for a few days, check out the journal for any errors. Also, make sure you keep your laptop/PC connected to the internet all the time, and the MetaTrader connected to the FTMO Server. A good solution is to use a VPS (not a must).

What lot size should I use in 100k challange?

We are unable to offer guidance on how much to trade. This decision involves personal choice and risk assessment.
