ParticipantHello Jay – R,
I have asked Petko for all of that in the beginning in the 1:1 class so I will afford to answer:
1. When you save the .hst files you make sure you are not losing the data. It is a way to collect it. For example, if you change your computer, laptop, VPS and you install the MT4 again, you will lose the Historical data you collected till the moment. If you have the .hst files you can place them in the path described from Petko, and the Historical data will show in the new platform that you install.
2. You need to open one chart for EURUSD, and switch from M1 to MN, and on every timeframe, press the Home key. After that leave it on M1 (because there the ticks are coming). Before I export data, I switch quickly the time frames to make sure the new data is added.
3. I do not understand what exactly is slow? When you press the Home Key it loads slow, or when you place the script?
Hope this answers your questions without the 3rd one.
Kind regards,
Haliffa
ParticipantPetko. I think having such a page with trustful brokers will be very very useful for us and as you said for the beginner traders.
I shared in this topic how bad I was scammed and I am sure that such a page will help many, and you will protect them.
Of course, it does not mean that people should open an account with the brokers you list, it is their choice. But at least, they will have an idea about some regulated names.

ParticipantSurprised to see a stock trading course, Petko! The EAs are already on my small live account where I test.
Recently I test the EAs not on Demo but on my live account with 0.01. I found that this is the better choice for me because I struggle to find a broker with same Historical data on Demo and Live server.
So when I tested the EAs on Demo and after that I move to live account, the results did not match every time.

ParticipantHey Jay-R,
that would be very useful to the people that use VPS. I used to trade via VPS but I was using not a Forex VPS.
The issue that you describe is from a broker’s VPS or from an external one?
Haliffa
ParticipantHey Petko!
Thanks for the huge discount! I am already watching the first lecture, and I can’t wait to test these EAs.
Cheers!

ParticipantDommech is pretty correct. With EA Studio we do not think anymore about the strategies really. It is all about money management and the way you will use the strategies and the EAs.
Before it was so hard for me to find a single strategy, now with EA Studio(I use it above 1 year now) I feel I am on the next level. Actually making profits :)

ParticipantI had a similar issue but what I did is to re-install my windows? After that, it works much better.

ParticipantHey, Petko! It looks like really nice! I am sure the people loved you! What about the pictures in Tokyo?

ParticipantHi Halvard,
yes, Haliffa gave you a nice answer. Creating strategies using different criteria will give you better diversification. For example, if you have strategies with smaller TP and SL, they will be more active and open and close a bigger number of trades. And having with a bigger range, the trades will last longer. Also, having strategies on different time frames is a great way to a wider risk-diversification.

ParticipantI started first with FSB Pro because this time EA Studio was still not available. However, it was really easy to get used with EA Studio after that. It has great features even you are a beginner.
Simone, for sure you will learn from a lot from both programs

ParticipantYes, I think Petko shows different ways to use the generator and the reactor in EA Studio. This way different strategies are created and better risk diversification is achieved.
I have all of his courses, and I am amazed by how he creates different EAs all the time. I know EA Studio and FSB are great pieces of software, I have been using them for over a year now, but it is important to use them the proper way. The programs just teach you how to trade as well…

ParticipantHi Robert,
if you make the backtest you will see how the EAs did in the past till the current moment. The idea is to test them on Demo to see which strategies make a profit for the current moment.
What Petko teaches is to manage between Demo and Live. Keep trading on Live just the EAs and the strategies that currently profit. That are in their profitable phase.

ParticipantPetko, I just succeeded to watch the new course. I was using the Walk Forward but in a wrong way :(
Now I will need to go over all the EAs to check this validation and remove those that fail.
Haliffa
ParticipantJacpin, so nice of you to share your experience here!
My acceptance criteria on live account are 1.2 profit factor, but I see that you are doing deeper analysis which is more professional.
Haliffa
ParticipantHi Petko! My new EAs using the OOS are much better – less drawdowns and better profit factor. Also, before I kept the EAs on live account about 2-3 weeks, now I have some EAs on live for over 45 days and they are still with profit factor above 1.2.
