I prefer not to recommend trading amounts because it is a personal choice.

However, these are the amounts I use:

    10k accounts – 0.3 lots

    100k accounts – 3 lots

    200k accounts – 6 lots

    Hey John,

    I appreciate your words!

The EA will be updated in the course in the following days (by the end of the week).

I decided not to add the scaling-up method because it might be risky if one does not understand it. That is why the trader can control the risk just by switching the lots or the SL and the TP.

In the updated section of the course, you will see how I passed the 200k challenge with a few trades, and I really do not spend a lot of time in front of the platform.

    Hi Imed,

Glad to hear from you. For the 200k challenge I use 6 lots, so if the price hits the SL, it won’t be a loss more significant than 2000 or 1 %.

Accordingly, I use 3 lots for 100k and 0.3 for 10k challenges. BUT that is me, you can do it as you decide. It depends on the risk you are willing to take.

    Hello FXbam,

You need to check the time above the MarketWatch of your broker. That is the actual timezone of the server.

Then recalculate it to select the right one in the Historical App.

However, the EA trades on M1 with M30 filter, so a difference of a few hours should not be a huge problem.

    Hey Khoo,

Yes, the lot size is the only thing you need to adjust.

But with the new Version 4.0 I would suggest you trade straight with 0.3, not using the adding option.

    Hey mate,

I’ve missed that post, sorry about it. It is quite interesting.

    1. I would change the current pair for sure. Why don’t you go for EURUSD?

    2. If you want to use the Trading session you need to check the box below (not only set the hours) anyways it won’t apply.

    3. On M15 you have much more bars with the Premium data, so I would suggest you use the max of 200 000 bars.

    Hey traders,

Version 4.0 was just released for the FTMO Robot!

How is this Robot different from the previous 3.0 version?

    • The Higher Time Frame filter is on M30
    • Slightly different parameters for the Envelopes and MACD
    • Account percent Stop added to the EA

Many of you shared that they failed in backtesting the Robot on Metatrader, so I recorded a video demonstrating it:

If you have already bought the FTMO Robot, you can log in and download the new version. You will also receive an e-mail in the next 24 hours.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Are you using Netting or Hadging account? It is a problem in MetaTrader 5 if you are using a Hedging account. It won’t be able to add to the position.

    Hey Lee,

    Check my answer above.

The general expectation is to have a very active EA because these are the type of EAS people buy from the market. Usually, such EAs use martingale to recover the losing trades but those are not suitable for Prop Firms.

in reply to: Prop Firm Robots: Errors and Solutions #187902

    Hello Ramis,

The FTMO Robot will open trades when the price hits the Envelopes and there is confirmation from the MACD. The EA is not designed to trade frequently but to take strong reversal signals.

If you do not see trades for a few days, check out the journal for any errors. Also, make sure you keep your laptop/PC connected to the internet all the time, and the MetaTrader connected to the FTMO Server.

I like the word ”dead” for EA :)

    Hey Jose,

    Glad to hear from you.

    1. I would use 3 lots so if the EA hits the SL it would be below 1%.

    2. What do you mean by ”high new”?

    3. The EA does not use martingale: it adds to the position if there is a new signal. However, if you want to avoid the adding just set the entry to 3 lots and max position to 3 lots, so it won’t add on the same directional signal.

    4. Abour the backtesting make sure to use a smaller lot and spread of 2-3 pips (not the weekend one)

in reply to: Prop Firm Robots: Errors and Solutions #187462

    Hey Vincenzo,

I think it is the same issue. Please, lower the lot size and try again.

Also, yesterday was the weekend and the FTMO server closed on Friday with a spread > 10 pips.

In the EA there is a Spread FIlter Protection set to 3 pips, so make sure not to use the Current spread but 2 pips for example.

    Hey Patrick,

You do not see any trades because the default lot size is huge for a 10k account. Try to lower it to 0.1 and the max position to 0.3 and see if there will be trades.

Also, make sure to use Control Points as a backtesting model.

in reply to: Prop Firm Robots: General questions #187458

    Hey Janan,

The EAs has no limiatons at all. You can trade with it on funded account after the challenge or you can trade it on regular Forex account.

    Hey Jean,

    Glad to hear from you.

The course will be updated with the EA in the very near future. I just recorded a few more videos showing how I pass the 200k challenge and it will take some time for my team to edit the videos.
