Ah I see, I totally forgot about this feature of the strategy. All makes sense for now, thanks again.

Thanks for your prompt response Alan, yes you are actually right it should be $90 not $100.

But do you know why the EA is closing the rest of the trades partially/early? I would expect it to close trades consistently as 1R or 2R or BE (1.5R)

But it’s inconsistent, see highlightes trades below.

    Thanks Petko,

Yes I think you’ve understood what I’m trying to explain. So why are the Demo and “Real” accounts not synced immediately if the entry signals are identical? If it takes at least a month and possibly more for them to sync then this would seem to explain why most people are reporting having no success with this system, especially the observation that “real” account does not demonstrate the same success as Demo results. I have been running this system for over 2 months and this has been the case – strategies “seem” to be failing as soon as they’re promoted to the ‘real’ account. And on closer inspection I find we are comparing apples (demo) with oranges (real) as strategies are not entering and exiting at the same time between accounts. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks Ilan for that! I have a few questions that have made me scratch my head a little bit:

    – Inside MT4 how do we promote an individual strategy from inside a portfolio on a demo account to a real account? I know how this is done when we are NOT using a portfolio EA.

    – On the ‘real’ account, how do we maintain risk diversity if/when most of the individual strategies we promoted from ‘demo’ are mainly from one asset (i.e. other assets might not have met criteria for promotion)? Do we need to maintain this balance of assets / risk diversity on the real account as well somehow and at all times?

    – What is a good or recommended criteria to demote a strategy again from ‘real’ account when it’s not performing?

…and also how do we remove strategies in a portfolio on MT4 which are not performing well?
