ModeratorHi Petko,
Thanks for the update.
I noticed some EAs have not been changed. AUDUSD and XAUUSD are still November 2019 EAs, USDCAD is Feb 2019, there is no link to the EAs on “Top 10 EURUSD Expert Advisors – Forex Algorithmic trading”, and the link to the EAs from “Forex trading course: Get new 12 Forex Robots every month” is not working.
Thanks,
Ilan

ModeratorThe data / script file is the same for all brokers. It’s the file included in the course – EA Studio Data Export MT4/MT5.mq4/mq5. When you add it to your chart, just check your broker’s commission and spread and fill in accordingly.

ModeratorHi Petko,
Thanks for the advice.
Could strategies based on historical data from one broker have different results with trades on a platform of a different broker?

ModeratorIs it too soon, after 2 days, to start changing EAs, i.e. check the demo account, and replace the EAs in the live account with the better performing EAs in my demo account?

ModeratorHi Petko,
Thanks for replying. I understand – what you say makes sense. The point of the courses is to teach people to trade, rather than copy trades.
I know there is a forum topic where people share their EAs they’ve created, that seem to be working, but perhaps we could start a topic where you share the EAs that you are using, that are currently yielding good results, or maybe the settings you’re using in EA Studio and FSB Pro to create these strategies, if they have been adjusted since the course material for that currency pair was recorded. The reason I ask this, is that, as mentioned, I have now begun live trading, but I’m finding that the EAs that were working well in my demo accounts over the past 10 days or so, are not performing as well any longer on my live account. I know from the courses that the EAs need to be monitored and replaced as needed from the demo accounts on a regular basis, and that you update the EAs regularly, but if you could give me some advice on how to adjust my EAs to perform better in current market conditions, I would be very grateful. As a new trader, my emotions around trading are still quite high.
Currently, I am using EAs on the following pairs:
AUDUSD
EURGBP
EURUSD
GBPUSD
USDCAD
Thanks again,
Ilan

ModeratorThanks Petko,
I must also just tell you, for the past month or so, I have doing many Forex courses, and yours are, by far the best. Thank you for all the hard work. It is very clear you want all your students to succeed. It’s very much appreciated.

ModeratorThanks Petko, that makes sense.

ModeratorWould results differ from one broker to another. I have loaded the EAs you provided in one of the course on 2 MT4 platforms. One from FXTM and the other from JFD. What I’ve seen is that different trades are opened at different times. I have attached a screenshot of the platforms side by side. Have I done something wrong?

ModeratorHi Petko,
With the current COVID-19 panic and country shutdowns, how accurate, or effective is it to use historical data and back testing for algorithmic trading? The current climate in the markets is so different to the past few months or years. Is algorithmic still a good, or best way to trade in your opinion?
