Hello Traders,
We’re thrilled to announce the latest updates to the Prop Firm Robots app, packed with features to make your trading experience even more seamless and effective. These enhancements focus on usability, strategy refinement, and improved control for navigating prop firm challenges.
📂 Sorting Strategies
The app now allows you to sort strategies by several metrics, making it easier to identify and select the most relevant setups for your trading quickly. This feature is designed to save time and help you focus on the metrics that suit you the most.
🎯 Custom Challenge Setup
With the new Custom Challenge feature, you can tailor the app’s trading goals to match specific prop firm requirements. Adjust parameters like account size, max loss, and profit targets to simulate custom trading challenge conditions accurately.
📊 Risk Control
Risk management is now more transparent with detailed stats on drawdowns and stop loss levels for each strategy. This ensures you stay aligned with prop firm rules while protecting your capital and knowing how exactly how much you risk with every trade.
🛠 Simulation of Real Trading (OOS)
You can now toggle the Out-of-Sample (OOS) mode to evaluate the performance of strategies on unseen data after they are created. This feature is invaluable for optimizing performance and gaining confidence in your setups by ensuring their robustness in real-world conditions.
📈 Lots Traded
The app provides better visibility in the entry lot sizes, giving you precise information over your trading exposure. This allows for more tailored risk-to-reward ratios based on individual trading styles.
These updates are crafted to enhance your trading journey while adhering to prop firm guidelines. As always, feel free to share your thoughts or ask questions about these features in the comments below!
Best regards,

I just noticed a new feature on the App. Show best 1 & Show best 2. What does this feature do?

what does the new update best 1 and best 2 mean?

Hey Cristian, the app comes with 2 EAs per pair. By default you see them both, but if you filter the best 1, you will see only the more profitable EA from each pair. With many prop firms having a rule against hedging or trading multiple robots from the same pair in a single account this feature is useful to filter only one robot per pair.

Based on flicking through the two, show best one only shows one of the best strategies per currency whilst show best two show multiple per currency.

Please retest the app again EA Trading Academy Team!
It seems like to have some major issues with the profitability of the bots since 2 weeks and a lot of people (referring to this forum and including my accounts) have issues…

look into using a top 10 bot instead of a prop ea these past weeks and been terrible but not for regular ea’s

Hey @Sand0r, nothing is changed in the strategy generation process – it’s the same as it was since the creating of the app. On our challenges page you can look at the accounts that have forex robots from the prop app, for example this one which is doing well lately.
Can you share how do you select the robots which you trade with, do you replace them or not, if so how often and etc., just some more context to get a better understanding of your system.

Hi @marinski, thanks for your quick response!
I am using the top 3-5 EAs based on the weekly performance and I am doing a daily replacing.
This is how I passed 2 first prop firm phases (FTMO & 5%ers), but now I am about to loose all my accounts.
Do you have any recommendation? Which EAs to select and how often to replace?

I recently downloaded the prop firm EAs and the results so far this week have not been good. 8 trades so far and all losers. Nearly 7K down in the space of 2 trading days. I chose the top performing bots from the page, with the stock settings, one of the bots is USDJPY but the bot has done nothing but fast track me to a blown account. Is anyone here having success with the bots and if so, how? USDJPY has had a shocking start to the week. My BTC bit has not placed any trades so far this week. Any support that can be provided to better performing bots is much appreciated.

Hey @marinski, the link you provided (https://www.fxblue.com/users/top3fxpairson1m) also shows a decline of -4% recently.
I still think there is something wrong with the recent config of the bots. Everything went really well for the past 3 months I have beeen using the app. No doubt, there are ups and downs in the market and the bots are performing better in some market situations and worse in others, but currently it seems to be an issue! Please make sure to fix it….

Thank you for pointing this out. I understand that seeing a downtrend can be concerning, so let me provide some context.
First, as I already explained in other topics, nothing is changed in the strategy generation process. It’s the same since the launch of the app.
The recent downtrend is a result of the market moving in both directions, which is a normal part of how financial markets behave. No market trends in one direction forever, and periods of uncertainty or choppiness can cause temporary dips in performance. Drawdowns are a natural and unavoidable part of trading. They’re not a sign of failure but rather a characteristic of a strategy that trades in dynamic markets. If you look at the charts in the Prop Firm Robots app, you will see downtrends there as well, and if you look at the stats, you will see what % is the drawdown for the stats period. Of course, past performance doesn’t guarantee future results but it’s a sign of what you might expect from a strategy.

Hello, I started just a few days ago and purchased the access to prop firm EAs. I am having trouble getting them to run. All blu hats (MT5) and smileys (MT4), algo trading allowed, account matches bot account size. But still only a few pairs are active. It’s one thing that they didn’t take a trade yet on my account, but they should show in the graphics in the chart the bots trades the past week/month in general right? Only one in about 20 that I tried does that.
The MT5 does not show any information at all in the Experts pane of the toolbox.
Is there a good checklist for installation and verification?
Still, happy to be here – let’s just make it work as intended! :)
Eric
