      Hi.
This thread is to discuss the 3 free trading EA’s for EURYJPY, EURUSD & XAUUSD on the M15 chart.

The link to them is here:

Free Trading EA—3 Free EAs from the Top 10 App

      My initial questions are:
      1. Are these 3 EA’s tested for robustness & are they still reliable now?
      2. Are they un-correlated strategies designed to minimize drawdown when trading all 3 together?
      3. Does anyone have forward testing experience & results with them?

      Thanks in advance,

      Mike

I have tested all 3 EA’s over the last 5 years. They all pass Monte Carlo 100% robustness test. Here are results. Pay attention to the historical data for each EA as these are the historical data used in creating these EA’s and are the historical data used to test them today:

      Wow, thank heaps Alan.

And aside from the overall equity curve pointing up on each one, they also appear to be somewhat non-correlated ie. when one is experiencing drawdown at least one of the others is compensating.

      Nice : )

I have the MT4 versions running well on a GoMarkets demo account, but the MT5 versions are not opening the same trades on an MT5 platform.
Could it just be due to factors such as differing spreads, or something else?

Hey Mike, I see that Аlan has given you detailed information so I’ll elaborate on your latest question.

You’re on the right track – it could definitely be due to spreads, but there are also a few other common reasons why the MT4 and MT5 versions of the same expert advisor (EA) behave differently:

        – MT5 might use RAW or ECN pricing with lower spreads but commissions, while MT4 might have wider spreads with no commission.

        – Differences in execution speed, slippage, or margin requirements could affect trade conditions.

        – MT5 uses different order execution (position-based vs MT4’s ticket system)

Also, if the MT5 and MT4 platforms are at different brokers, then the results will be different for sure as brokers have slightly different pricing or candle data, which affects indicators or signals.

For context, I’m sharing a link to the video where we showed and shared these EAs for free.
