FIFO Challenge – Oanda

I know this issue has seen quite a bit of activity in the forum but the workaround doesn’t seem to be working for me on Oanda. I am using the portfolio EA’s for EURUSD and have set each EA on a separate lot ranging from 0.01 to 0.10 on a demo account and still keep getting FIFO violations on the demo account. Is this because these are portfolio EA’s?

 

I’m based in the US – hence the FIFO issue.

Hello there,

The Portfolio EAs will open many trades with the same lots. That is why you are blocked by the broker.

Each Portfolio EA has different strategies inside and they all open trades when the entry signals are there.

So if you want to avoid the FIFO rule, you will need to trade individual EAs, not portfolio EAs.
