    Nice improvements to the robot!

    Maybe I’m missing something, but you show a screenshot with Min and Max equity, but nothing with “Maximum loss” which you are explaining. I can’t seem to find that setting in the robots either.

    Can you help me out here?

    @Petko: What do you do if the prop firm does not have Demo accounts? Like “trueforexfunds” which has a lower entry price and easier qualification?

    @letsrockit: Thanks for your reply!
    Indeed it does. I’m working with the EURAUD, but here it’s more like ratio 2:1 instead of 1:2, so I was just wondering if the scaling from the FTMO course only applies to EURUSD. If so, it would seem that EURUSD might be the better pair to trade.

    @Alan: When you say the robot is tested. Is that then with the default values it comes with? Or with the 300/600 pip scaling strat that is in the FTMO course? Both are very different.

    As a followup question. When you have the robot running and do the scaling. Do you every end a trade before the SL/TP has been hit?

    Dear Petko and others,

    I’m trying out the FTMO robot v 4.1. And while looking at the backtesting results and the recommended settings from the FTMO course, I was wondering… What would you recommend for SL and TP?

    In the video and document, you’re advising a 1:2 rato like SL: 300 pips and TP: 600 pips and then using the scaling on wins.

    But the backtesting in FSB Pro suggests the opposite for maximum balance.

    What does your experience say? (Others feel free to chip in as well)

    Hi Matthew,

    Did you end up managing to create this one? Or did you perhaps find it somewhere?

    Thank guys! I appeciate you taking the time to reply.

    I did indeed take the Pro course already, so I’m glad to hear that others are using this strategy with success.

    @Alan
    : Great, thanks – a few followup questions…

    • When creating your EAs, do you adjust the trading times to the market hours, like in the (Forex Expert Advisor course – London, New York & Tokyo Algorithmic trading) course?
    • How far back in time to you base your EA creation?
    • And do you run any of the optimization and robustness checks?
    • When doing the 6month/1month validation, do you then only use your newly created EAs or all of your previous collections for that pair/time as well?

    @Samuel
    :

    • In the pro course, Petko mentions that using he’s method, you would not need to do Demo trading as well. Do you see better performance when running on a demo for a while and filtering out EAs first?
